Chinese Culture Day 2025/26

2026-02-10 Feb, 2026

On 10 October 2026, our school celebrated the annual Chinese Culture Day. This year’s theme, “Ancient Chinese Technology,” transformed the campus into a large-scale “Ancient Technology Laboratory.” The school hall and covered playground were converted into interactive exhibition areas, allowing students and teachers to explore the development and achievements of ancient Chinese science and technology.

The school hall and covered playground featured a variety of experiential booths. Students participated in hands-on demonstrations of Movable Type Printing and Papermaking, gaining insight into the evolution of communication. Other highlights included the mechanical study of Miniature Trebuchets and South-Pointing Chariots, enabling students to appreciate the sophisticated engineering and wisdom of ancient Chinese scholars.

The Inter-class Wooden Arch Bridge Competition was also held on the stage of the school hall, where students demonstrated strong teamwork and collaboration as they worked together to complete the challenge in a focused and spirited environment.

After school, a series of enrichment activities further enhanced the celebration. These included an inter-class Chinese New Year couplet writing competition, a tangyuan-making activity featuring creative designs, and a mini cheongsam showcase that highlighted the elegance of traditional Chinese attire. The entire campus was filled with a festive cultural atmosphere.

Approximately fifty parents attended the event to provide support and assistance, joining teachers and students in experiencing Chinese culture together. We sincerely thank all students, teachers, and parents for their enthusiastic participation and contributions, making this year’s Chinese Culture Day both meaningful and memorable.
