35th Anniversary Variety Show
The 35th Anniversary Variety Show, named And The Melody Echoes, was successfully held on 6 July 2023 at Academic Community Hall, Hong Kong Baptist University.
There was a splendid array of performances including Solo Verse Speaking (Putonghua), Guzheng playing, English Choral Speaking, and performances of sand art, dance, drama, and music by the School Orchestra and the School Choir. One of the highlights of the show was the Chinese dance performance named Jasmine by the students of Shenzhen Pingshan High School, our sister school in China.
The show was wrapped up by the magical performance of the live band TENgent, consisting of the current students, our alumni, a teacher and even our Principal. They performed uplifting Cantonese pop songs of different generations, connecting audiences of different ages emotionally and successfully bringing the vibes and excitement of the show to the highest.
Before the end of the show, all the participants of the event, both the performers and the audiences, sang the song Happy Birthday to CDG to celebrate the 35th anniversary of our school.
The success of the show was not only attributed to the commitment and dedication of teachers and students, but also the grace of our Lord. May God keep and bless our school in the years to come.
