STEAM Day 2024/25

2025-03-18 Mar, 2025

STEAM Day was successfully held on March 18. Various STEAM-related activities and competitions were organised to enhance students’ knowledge and interest in STEAM. The campus was filled with joy and a vibrant learning atmosphere as students showcased their innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

S.1 students participated in the interclass drone competition, where each class had representatives perform group flight demonstrations. The performances were judged by student votes and teacher evaluations, highlighting the students’ drone-flying skills and programming outcomes.

S.2 students took part in the Rocket Car Competition. Earlier in their science lessons, they used interdisciplinary knowledge and 3D printing technology to design and create their own rocket cars. Additionally, all S.2 students participated in a machine-learning workshop to explore artificial intelligence (AI). They learned to use large datasets to train models and applied these models to game production.

The theme of the S.3 STEAM project was "Tech for Good." Students were required to use technologies such as programming, AI, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to create inventions that improve society and school life. This year's projects were both innovative and practical. On the day, S3 students introduced their ideas and products to other students and teachers, demonstrating their learning outcomes.

During the assembly, representatives from Parami, the company that developed the first Cantonese AI chatbot in Hong Kong, introduced the applications of AI and various industries utilizing AI to S.4 and S.5 students. The speakers encouraged students to equip themselves well to meet future challenges.
