UK Overseas Study Tour 2023/24

2024-07-25 Jul, 2024

A group of 40 students from S.1 to S.4 had the incredible opportunity to participate in a 21-day overseas study tour in the United Kingdom in July. This enriching journey took them to the prestigious King’s Bruton, where they engaged in English lessons and workshops, immersing themselves in language and theatrical arts.

During their stay, our students also embarked on exciting excursions to various towns and cities, exploring the rich cultural heritage and iconic landmarks of the UK. They had the privilege of experiencing the vibrant city life of London, witnessing the centuries-old academic excellence in Oxford, indulging in the historical charm of Bath, and marvelling at the architectural wonders of Salisbury and Cardiff.

This study tour not only provided our students with an immersive English language learning experience but also fostered their creativity, confidence, and cultural understanding through drama workshops. One of the highlights of our tour was watching the captivating musical Aladdin, which brought the magic of the stage to life at the Bristol Hippodrome. The students were fascinated by the dazzling performances and the enchanting storytelling of the talented cast.

In addition to the enriching academic and cultural experiences, our students had the precious opportunity to immerse themselves in the warm embrace of British hospitality by living with their host families in Warminster. This homestay experience allowed our students to form genuine connections, foster intercultural understanding, and create lifelong friendships. The host families opened their homes and hearts, making our students feel welcomed, supported, and truly part of their extended family.

We are immensely proud of our students for seizing this opportunity and fully engaging in the activities and excursions. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to embrace new experiences have truly made this study tour a resounding success. It is hoped that our students would return with cherished memories, newfound knowledge, and a deeper appreciation for the arts and culture after having this invaluable learning experience.
