Our school’s drama team has achieved outstanding success in inter-school competitions this year, earning numerous awards in the Hong Kong School Drama Festival. The team’s dedication, hard work, and exceptional talent were evident in their captivating performances. Our students were also invited to have a public performance in Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre in May this year. Our award-winning play, As Masks Come Off, explores the polarising views of people regarding the lifting of mask wearing regulation in the form of a comedy, subtly reflecting the mentality of Hong Kong people during the post-pandemic period. Revolving around the protagonist’s struggles between pursuing his dream and considering his practical needs in reality, this play also reflects some deeper social issues which are thought-provoking, such as generation gap, the rise of social media influencers and appearance anxiety.
